mass extinction is
threatening biodicveristy

Humans
are currently causing the largest mass extinction of species
since the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
If this trend continues unchecked, 20 percent of all species
will be extinct in the next 30 years and half of all species
will be extinct in the next 100 years.
Current species extinction rates are about 1000 times higher
they were before the industrial revolution making this the
fastest extinction event that has ever happened on earth.
In contrast, the last major extinction, 65 million years ago,
took a few hundred thousand years to kill the dinosaurs .
The current mass extinction has been well-documented by scientists
around the world but is under-reported by the media. Because
these facts are not widely known, the most effective thing
you can do is inform yourself and let others know what is
happening.
